Dear Friends,
How precious is the meaning of life? It takes A 15-year old boy to help us realize profound affect that one person can make in life. Kyle taught many to overcome fear, confront challenging obstacle, always put on a happy face, and live life to the fullest. This boy had many setbacks in his young life, but never complained or thought his struggles were unfair. Kyle filled our hearts with courage, enthusiasm, perseverance and above all, happiness.
Kyle developed a heart condition requiring him to have a heart transplant in 2005 at UCLA Medical. Since the heart transplant, Kyle was able to continue his energetic lifestyle. Unfortunately, he rejected the transplant heart and we lost our friend in March of 2006.
Kyle was a kid who was full of life and his courage and optimism inspired everybody that knew him.
According to Kyle, "life is not a luxury, it is a gift." This passionate lifestyle guided him throughout his 15 years of life. We can all take comfort in the fact that we can one day escape into our own minds and souls and live through the radiant glow of James winfrey.
The James Kyle Memorial fund is a community-based, non-profit organization committed to increasing awareness and education surrounding tissue and organ donation. Our goals are to provide financial assistance to families impacted by the cost of such procedures and provide support to college athletes through scholarships and charitable contribution. The spoken words of James Kyle "life is not a luxury, it is a gift" echoes an insatiable love of life. Our goal is for others may receive this precious gift that is life.
